Job Overview
We are seeking a MEP Department Lead / Manager with 10-15 years of experience to join our team in Bedminster, NJ. This full-time, in-office role will lead the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) team in overseeing project planning, design, and coordination of MEP systems. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, deep technical expertise, and a proven track record in project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the MEP team, providing direction and support to ensure project success.
- Oversee project planning, design, and coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Review design documents and technical drawings for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Conduct regular meetings with the team to monitor progress and address any project challenges.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to solve complex engineering problems.
- Mentor junior engineers and staff to foster professional development within the team.
- Prepare and present project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience in MEP engineering, including project management and team leadership.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, REVIT, and other MEP tools.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines and budgets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers and staff members.
- PE License is preferred but not required.
